Where do I even begin? Most intense, nonstop, high energy, ridiculous trip of my life. And I do mean that in the best way possible. A time to celebrate my beloved bestie from elementary school-onward, Anna McKissack (soon-to-be Wise!), was bound to be thrilling and legendary, but combine that with some of the most hilarious and ridiculously fun girls EVER = BLAST.
My only pic with the bride!! A little caddywompus.
Sisters, hometown girlfriends, college girlfriends and post-college girlfriends created a group of 14 that could not be ignored. Anna is pretty amazing herself so while all 14 of us weren’t necessarily best friends; it doesn’t surprise me that by the end of the weekend we wanted to be best friends!!
Waking up at 5:00AM with Rebecca was the beginning of my Friday. After running through the Dallas airport and thanking Jesus we made our flight to Vegas, we were ready to get the weekend started by noon.
Dinner at Table 10 followed by a long night spent at Tryst Nightclub brought a lot of laughs and fun fun times.
A Saturday spent at Aria’s Liquid Pool & Lounge (Have you ever heard of a pool/lounge/day club? Because I hadn’t.) was interesting and brought some excellent people watching.
A little afternoon shopping brought me to Caesar’s Palace, where every Jr. High boy and myself basked in the glory that was, “OMG! The cast of The Hangover was once here…this is awesome.”
A lingerie shower for the bride followed by dinner at Union Restaurant was soon to follow. The finale of the night – Pure Nightclub (Don’t you love the super-cliché names of clubs? One syllable—Liv, Pure, Tao, Palms, Tryst, Haze, Jet, Rain…ridiculous).
At least half of the girls on the trip had flights leaving Las Vegas between 6AM – 8AM on Sunday morning. I was 90% confident several of said girls would be missing their flights.
I was wrong. Coming in straight from “da club,” packing and heading to the airport proved successful – one even went to the airport in the dress she went out in. My flight didn’t leave until noon, but it was quite the struggle.
In the end, this was one of the craziest, energetic, most fun trips of my life and I couldn’t be happier that I was there to celebrate one of my longtime best friends last weekends of singledom!
Ok. I have to go to sleep now.
