Chandelier Before and After

Some of you may have read here or here that I've been on the hunt for a light fixture/chandelier to replace the one in the den. 

Thanks to a $43 consignment find -- I've been thrilled with the lighting update.

I found it similar to this chandelier from Ballard Designs at $199.

Unfortunately taking off the white hurricanes didn't give it much improvement.

I wanted a simple chandelier and it had to be a little rustic to go with the architecture of the den.  For only $43, I couldn't pass this one up.  For that kind of price I have the option of leaving it in the house whenever I move out and consider it a permanent home improvement!
