Estée Lauder BB Creme

I have been on the hunt for the perfect lightweight foundation for months.  For the longest time I would just mix my face lotion with a drop of Benefit foundation that was a shade too dark to mix my own lotion/foundation combo whenever I felt I needed a tad more coverage.

I went to Sephora on two different occasions and they sent me home with their tinted moisturizer (no bueno) and the second time I left with Laura Mercier tinted moisterizer.  The Laura Mercier was better but still not what I was looking for.  I felt like it was hardly any coverage at all and ended up not using it.

A bff and bridesmaid of mine is an account coordinator at Estée Lauder.  She gifted me these samples to try and I am obsessed with every single item.

The BB creme tops the charts -- it's a light and smooth foundation that is applied after your moisturizer.  With SPF35, it lasts all day long and provides the natural coverage I have been looking for.

The eye illuminator would be my second favorite.  Applied underneath your eyes before your under-eye concealer, this creme has a cooling effect on puffiness, dark circles and fine lines.  Being Lebanese, I have heard about "dark circles" since I was a child!!  The angled tip of this illuminator stays 10 degrees cooler than its surroundings and is so refreshing to massage under my eyes in the morning when I'm applying my makeup.  After it's applied my under-eye concealer blends so smoothly and naturally.

I love it.  It's exactly what I've been looking for and I'm hooked!!  I had to share with y'all in case any of you are on the hunt for the perfect coverage like I was.  If anything, stop by the counter and have them blend the BB creme with your skin tone.  You won't be disappointed.

    1. This is actually my first Estée Lauder product to try and I don't think I'll ever go to anything else. I usually love Laura Mercier but when it comes to a light foundation/tinted moisterizer, Laura loses.

  2. I've tried the LM tinted moisturizer and was not a fan. It didn't seem to give me any coverage at all so I was confused by the fact that everyone seems to love it. Maybe the one you mentioned is an option for me. For now, I simply spot treat with concealer and apply some powder with a brush. Thanks for the tip!

    1. I felt the SAME way! I didn't think the LM was much coverage and just ended up not using it at all. This BB creme is more coverage but not the thick cake-y look of a regular foundation -- it's really light and blends perfectly. It's enough coverage to not be shiny and to last all day, but still looks natural.

  3. This is exactly what I have been looking for! I went to Sephora and got a sample of the Nars tinted moisturizer. I like, but don't love it. I will be trying the Estee' Lauder for sure.

    1. I've never tried Nars. I just have had such a hard time finding a light, natural foundation/moisturizer that still provides coverage. I just discovered the BB creme a week ago and am OBSESSED!

  4. Hello Carrie Bradshaw Lied readers! Kady Truesdale here--the named BFF and bridesmaid. BB Creme is to say the least a dream come true--Asia's hottest skincare trend does so much more than a foundation or tinted moisturizer every thought about! It perfects the look of skin, while providing subtle sheer coverage, it protects the skin with the powerful SPF 35 and super anti-oxidant complex (big words for helping you look younger, longer), and it hydrates while minimizing excess oil!
Next on the list for you to try--Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup. I promise--it's really invisible. PS--every EL counter in the country will match you up and give you a free 10-day sample for, wait for it....FREE.

    1. Kady is based in Nashville -- I'll have to ask her! I don't really use concealer so I can't give their concealer a legit review however I LOVE the eye illuminator and BB creme and I've been regularly using the night repair (although I think it would take a little longer to see how well it worked).

LM tinted moisturizer was the only LM product I've disliked, ever.
