When I saw these leopard jelly loafers over Thanksgiving, I knew I had to have them. I was one of the few kids in the 90s who didn't have a pair of jellies thanks to my mother favoring the always classic keds (who doesn't love a kid in keds?). When they came back in a few years ago I may have felt the urge to buy a pair in every color.
I also didn't have a pink Barbie Hot Wheels convertible and would try to buy one myself if I could fit into it.
"17" Sweater - Forever21, no longer available
Denim - Forever21
Cocktail Ring - Target

Bailey says, "why do I have to live with her now?"

Yes, I preferred the Keds because I thought that those translucent jellies were a little to “Honey Boo Boo-ish” if you get my drift. Sorry about the pink Barbie Car - you can’t have it all!!!
ReplyDeletexox,
Mom
LOVE the shoes.
ReplyDeleteWe CLEARLY had a similarly deprived childhood, though I did have jellies, I DID NOT have the Barbie Hot Wheel in spite of my begging and pleading. Over Christmas I saw a Mercedes Hot Wheel at Target and SERIOUSLY considered buying it for myself. Way more economical than a car, yes?
ReplyDeleteP.S. Slightly personal question, but do your jels make your feet sweat, or is that just me?
love this comment! I usually put some baby powder in the jellies before I slip them on and that seems to keep everything comfortable. These flats also have small holes toward the bottom on the inside of the shoe to keep air circulating - smart move!
DeleteBABY powder...of course! is there an issue that baby powder and/or duct tape doesn't solve? i seem to use both with alarming frequency. so glad i found your blog! you make me LOL a lot :)
DeleteThe shoes are great, but I LOVE your earrings!
ReplyDeleteI just got a pair of peep toe flat jellies and I love them but it's hard to wear them in the summer b/c you know what happens to your feet.
ReplyDeletecheck out my post today on 90's fashion trends that i hope do NOT come back ;-)
Not Going Out Like That
I love your hair! It's cute and voluminous without looking overly done. Hair tutorial??
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! This is actually hair that is still semi-styled from the night out before - but I do need to do an everyday hair tutorial post. Thanks for the reminder - coming soon! XO
DeleteI never comment, but love reading your blog. I'm not sure why I think you making the pets talk is so funny, but I do. Their comments match their expressions perfectly. It's nice to laugh in the middle of a work day. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! It's way obvious that I do not have children, considering I treat my pets like people and probably give them much more credit than they deserve. So glad you've made your way over to CBL!
DeleteLOVE the earrings! Where are they from?
ReplyDeleteWish I could remember! These are earrings that I purchased in Birmingham when I lived there years ago. I want to say they were from a boutique in Homewood. Sorry I'm not more helpful!
DeleteI really love your lipstick! Who is it by?
ReplyDeleteCan't wear jellys becuase they destroy my feet...BUT I totally had a pink Barbie Convertable car. I think my Grandmother still has it actually and no... sadly I do not fit in it anymore.
